At the time of consultation Dr Clarke will review your medical history to evaluate the need for you to be assessed from a medical point of view. Depending on your age and general health, you may be required to have blood tests, an E.C.G and chest x-ray. Requests for these tests will be given to you at the time of you consultation.

If necessary, an appointment will be made to see an anaesthetist preoperatively. It may be necessary for you to visit other medical specialists prior to your admission to hospital.

You may be instructed to make an appointment at the Pre Admission Clinic of the hospital you will be admitted to or to simply complete your admission forms online.
